How many of you have taken the time to look closely at your concrete drive/sidewalk/patio each year?
Let’s be honest!
How many of you actually inspect the caulk joints between the individual driveway slabs? Go ahead raise your hands? See…? I thought so!
You know driveways are expensive to replace; lot’s of demolition, material and installation labor. Not to mention the associated headaches. Uggh! A simple caulk repair could prevent this, so it just makes sense to have a solid caulking repair done to a driveway, sidewalk or patio. You want to prevent all the rain that comes down throughout the year from running into the open joints in between the slabs. This causes the ground to settle beneath the slabs and over time the drive can heave and sink.
Insects love to make their home in nice moist little cracks!
Ants are fun! They like to make these cute little piles of sand and dirt outside their nests as they add room after room for their growing families. The problem is that this sand and dirt is never replaced, so over time hollows develop underneath driveway surface leading to 1) more water accumulation leading to 2) heaving due to freezing or even sagging. Keeping the ants out is easy... a good crack sealant will be impassible to the little buggers!
